Word on readers

It's not about you, readers. It is about those readers of Hebrew press of old.

We don't know who they were. But we know where they were. Once we took all personal advertising from Moscow daily newspaper Hoom (1917—1918, העם) and put their data on a map. Just realize this newspaper existed in the time of Civil war and World War and yet it was connected with readers in Helsingfors, Vologda, Odessa, Sukhum, Petropavlovsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Harbin.

If one blows up European part of the map, he will stare a lot of very small places, towns and shetls, mostly in Ukraine, Belorus and Moldova.

This is the audience of only one newspaper for a year and a half. Extrapolate it.
